The Colorful World of Savannahs...

Color and Pattern Examples
This handsome lil fella came from two standard warm BST parents! Photo courtesy of Nadicats Cattery.
This coloring was probably passed down from using Ocicats as an outcross.
This big goofy Red Spotted Tabby F1 comes from an African Serval bred to a calico Domestic Shorthair! DSH is a permissible outcross per the TICA breed standard.
Mr. Man, born from a standard BST F1 and a standard F5, is a marble Savannah from CrystalHills Cattery.
This nonstandard F1 is BST and white. Her Mother was a DSH (black and white) and her father was an African Serval. Look at her nose and ear set though- no one can deny she is a stunning Savannah! Bred by The KittyKattery.
Chumlee is a Blue Spotted Tabby F2B with white! His Mother was a F1 BST with white and his father was a warm BST. The white feet were no surprise, but the blue coloration was!

This theoretically is caused by both parents carrying dilute!
This stunning F1 is considered a Brown Ticked Tabby, but may also be referred to as a Servalline pattern in the Savannah world. She comes from Dreamweaverz Cattery.
This pattern is theorized to have come from the Abysinnian; basically- the spots are not fully expressed in the BTT pattern.
Cinnamons & Chocolate
Marble Pattern
BST & White
Another gorgeous marble pattern from a BTT F1 and a standard BST. This Savannah is from Dreamweaverz Cattery.

Red, White and Blue?
This sweet cinnamon kitten shows the contrast between BST and cinammon. He was born to two standard BST parents (hence the Momma who is patiently nursing him). Photos courtesy of Gattobello Savannahs.
Snow (Colorpoint)
This is a stunning F3A snow from CrystalHills Cattery.
The colorpoint gene (or snow as it's often called by Savannah enthusiasts) is passed down from using Oriental Shorthairs in breeding programs.
This cute F5 SBT snow kitten was produced by breeding a BST to a Silver Spotted Tabby! Photo courtesy of Cahaba Cats Cattery.
A stunning high percentage F2, Razi is another marble from BST parents! Photo by owner, Jacqui L. and breeder is Jewels of the Nile Cattery.
Nimbus is a handsome F2 from Savannah Island. Both of his parents were BST, but produced this gorgeous Blue Spotted Tabby!

Lizzy, another BTT, poses with her sweet little Blue Spotted Tabby kitten! (See more Blues below!)

This scrumptious fella is a Chocolate Spotted Tabby. Both chocolate and cinnamon are recessive genes; chocolate is recessive to black and cinammon is recessive to chocolate. Photo courtesy of Clos du Chats Savannah Cats Cattery.
Another BTT, this time an F2, clearly exhibits the smaller spotting that is evident on a BTT. Photo used courtesy of Mary A.
